Based on an emergency proclamation issued by the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations, Illinois dentists are allowed administer the COVID-19 vaccine in the dental office once they have take the proper course. Illinois dentists are also allowed to administer the influenza vaccine in the dental office after they have taken the proper training. This four hour course meets all of the requirements mandated by IDFPR. It is broken down into a 3 hour video, and a 45 minute quiz.

A new law took effect in 2019 that will require all Illinois licensed professionals who need continuing education to renew their licenses to complete one (1) hour of education related to sexual harassment prevention prior to one’s license renewal.
