- Course Objectives: 1. Briefly review transmission of bloodborne pathogens including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Human Immunodeficiency Virus. 2. Discuss prevention of bloodborne pathogen and aerosol transmissible disease transmission through the use of proper hand hygiene, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following proper protocols for sterilization and disinfection of patient-care items and dental water lines.
