Peter J. Ackerman, CPA, CVA, CEPA is a 1995 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & General Business.  He began his career in private accounting at Lane Industries, Northbrook, Illinois, a holding company over General Binding Company, Lane Hotels, Lane Aviation, Secret Communication and several other subsidiaries.  In 1996, Mr. Ackerman founded ADS Midwest, a firm that provides practice brokerage, appraisal and consulting services to dentists and the related specialists throughout the Midwest.  Under his leadership ADS Midwest has become the largest and most respected practice transition firm in the Midwest.  In 2010, Mr. Ackerman secured the endorsement of the Illinois State Dental Society for practice appraisal and transition services.  He is a current member and past president of ADS Transitions, he holds designations as a Certified Valuation Analysts, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Exit Planning Advisor, licensed real estate broker and a licensed business broker.
